Chuuus x Santos Populares

Every June, Lisbon turns into a big street party for a few weeks, Santos populares.
We went on a journey through the city - started with a stall in Madragoa, where Chuuus was based. In honor of the holiday, they served shawarma with sardines and a vegan option with portobello. The sardines were minced, it was very convenient to eat, plus an interesting set of spices! For some reason, the regular chicken shawarma didn't really work for me last time, as the meat was a bit raw, and the flavors didn't quite come together. But this balik ekmek was great!
